Bent leaves

October 6th, 2025 at 09:26 pm

I really like the idea of a daily photo challenge... but I can't imagine my life being interesting enough to be able to post a photo daily.  Still though, I do have a picture to share today, along with some questions.

The following is my poor example of the Mother-in-law's tongue plant.  I woke up one day, and a couple of leaves simply fell over.  Is this normal?  Or is it dying?  I should trim the leaves, right?  It happened just a couple of days ago.

I think one reason for a photo challenge is to help see the beauty that surrounds us.

I have zero horticultural advice, but it is probably too much or not enough water and/or sunlight!

It is tolerant of locations with little sun, but probably would do better with some at least. Most people kill succulents due to overwatering. I have some snake plants too and only water once a week in summer, once every 2 weeks in winter. Is your watering schedule similar?

I think it would be ok to trim the leaves that have bent over.

What a cool idea as far as the photo challenge. Wish I could post photos.
