SA is now on the list

April 22nd, 2025 at 02:52 am

Oh this is new.  My anti-virus software now warns me against clicking on anything from SavingAdvice's blog section, mostly because it does not offer HTTPS.  That's never come up before, but it does make sense I guess.

While I'm here, the stock market dropped again today, because our Stable Genius of a President decided that he has the power to fire the Chair of the Federal Reserve and is "considering it".

Like, seriously, what is wrong with this guy?  Better yet, what is wrong with the people who support him and his agenda?  I mean, this stuff is obvious, isn't it?  Shake the legitimacy of the Federal Reserve, and you shake the market's faith in the Fed's ability to maintain a stable economy.  This is not rocket surgery.

And this is only month #4 into his 4 year presidency....

Anyways, it was "fun" watching my life savings take another hearty $20K drop from today's Oval Office hubris.

I'm pretty sure he thinks everything he says will become reality because he wants it to be.

They just didn't have their security certificate renewed, I think. I'm not having any trouble with the blogs today, so they must have taken care of it.

I got the same thing with SA..not sure what it is

He is going to make every one of his rich friends richer and the rest of the people poorer then you have to comply with what he wants or you dont survive...look what he has done in the US in 4 months...don't even want to know what it will look like in 4 years

LR, I think you’re right. I just looked at my URL, and it’s using HTTPS without complaint right now, so they must have fixed it?

Mumof2, basically without HTTPS (as opposed to just regular HTTP), our information over the internet is unencrypted, making it about as secure as a conversation overheard at a Starbucks cafe. Encryption requires certificates, of which I won’t bore you with the details right now, because it’s actually really convoluted and will make you facepalm if you knew in detail. The point is, encryption is fairly standard practice these days, which is why I was so confused when it failed.

LAL,I noticed something with people around me that are not really into politics (or is pro-Republican). I noticed that, basically, these people will believe whatever it is that Trump or members of his administration say at face value. I don’t know it is so difficult to realize just how much this administration lies, or finger-points, when it is so obvious and clear, given how much they do so on a regular basis.

I don’t consider myself as someone who is normally into politics either. I just don’t understand why some people are so accepting of lies, regardless of where it comes from. None of it from any side should be deemed acceptable for what is suppose to be the leader of the bastion country of Democracy.

Tabs, I saw the same thing a couple of days ago and not today, so hopefully everything is taken care of.

It's depressing to see 14 months of growth gone in a couple of months.
