My mom has cancer

I put off writing about this, partly because it's not financial, but mostly because I am trying my best not to think about it.  My mom has been diagnosed with colon cancer.

The craziest thing about that is that she eats the healthiest in our family, and is constantly active.   So she is the one we least expected to come down with something serious first.

Anyway, she finished her first of twelve rounds of chemotherapy, to be administered every other week.  Plus, she doesn't have to be admitted at the hospital so far, so maybe all this is a good sign?  Not sure, not a doctor.

My mom is the only woman who has ever tolerated me and believed in me throughout my life.  She is also the anchor that holds our entire family together.  Life without her would be devastating.  I don't even want to think about it.

    Tabs, I'm so sorry you and your mom are dealing with that. I hope her treatments are effective and she continues with her healthy long life.

    Prayers for your mom's recovery. It's my understanding that colon cancer is a slow-growing cancer and that it's usually responsive to treatment if it's caught soon enough. I also have read that the cells lining the colon regenerate faster than any other cells in the body. Hopefully, those facts (Feel free to check them in case I'm mistaken!) provide some reassurance to you.

    Your mom sounds like a wonderful person!

    Sorry to hear that but look at all options a lot of people have had great success with ivermectin and fenbendazole with many of them being cured...so maybe look into that.

    it doesnt have to be a death sentence, they told my hubby that he had very aggressive prostate cancer and he most likely wouldnt make it...its been 5 years now out of 10 of them this week him and 2 others they said they knew they wouldnt make it the other 2 passed and my hubby is not only here still but it is undetectable...and they were all surprised to see him...so it happens...stay positive...she has this...as do you..hope she has a speedy recovery

    I'm so very sorry, Tabs. There's no one like a mom. I am hoping she will respond well to the chemo and have a speedy recovery. There are dietary modifications you can make to support good health during chemo, as well as good health during colon cancer. If you have an interest I can send them.

    Tabs, I'm very sorry. Let's hope that her healthy living and eating before this diagnosis has made her body strong so the chemo can work its best and not take the biggest toll on her body so she can heal. I'll pray for her and you.
